Hali has been in the pole industry since 2013 and is one of the highest level pole dancers in the south east! She considers herself a bit of a pole chameleon with her floor flow and power pole styles. She’s competed and won multiple competitions and earned her professional level status in 2017.
My passion and primary hobby for the last ten years has been exercise. During these years I have explored a variety of exercise methods including weights, steel mace, intervals, bodyweight, acrobatics and animal flow, to name a few. Approximately 4 years ago I tried pole fitness and found my sport. Becoming a pole enthusiast allowed me to shift my workouts from exercise to training as I had a focus for my efforts rather than a nebulous end goal. Pole dancing is my sport because it allows me to develop the artist and the animal within myself. This gives me an outlet for expressing creativity and a fitness goal so that I have the strength and mobility to move without restrictions.
In the last few years, I have become an enthusiastic student of movement and how to increase the ability to move fluidly on multiple plains utilizing a holistic approach which includes muscles, mind and nervous system.
Hiii! Dance has always found itself in my life in various ways, but I was never very athletic growing up (video game nerd) and going to the gym never worked for me because I was so unmotivated. I fell in love with pole in 2018 after taking my first intro class at a studio in Chicago, and it significantly impacted the way I view myself and others. I found that I was able to consistently express myself through movement and correct what years of bad posture had done to my back and neck. I found myself accepting and even appreciating certain aspects of my body and ways my mind works that I had previously disliked. I started understanding and resonating with people from many different walks of life, unified through the love of pole dancing. Pole has become a core passion in my life and was the missing link I needed to focus on learning to fully love who I am. There’s no amount of pole burn, muscle soreness, or frustration that could ever keep me from it. I am super excited to share that passion with you and guide you through your pole journey. I am honored to be a part of the PBA instructor family.
Hi y’all! I have been dancing in a studio or at home since I was 3 years old. I fell in love with pole after attending classes at The Chrome Bar in Nashville, but wasn’t sure where I should take pole classes when I moved to NC. I came to Pole Body & Arts after attending a virtual workshop about teaching plus-size polers hosted by Roz the Diva. After my first class at PBA, I immediately signed up for a membership. The studio has become my second home and a community I care deeply about ever since. For me dance is a means of self-expression and self-exploration, movement therapy, exercise, and a way to connect with others. I hope to foster a sense of community and mutual empowerment through my classes.
Hi, I’m Audrey! I’ve always been involved in some type of dance ever since I was little and fell in love with pole dancing November 2017. I always admired the grace and strength that pole dancers showcased when performing, so that’s what drove me to my first class. Truth be told, I hated my first class because I was terrible at it, but it quickly became an addiction when I started seeing progress. Over the past two years, it’s become a form of therapy of me that I want to share with everyone! Pole dancing also brought me back to my love of flexibility training. I’ve come to incorporate it into my daily practice for about a year now. I love stretching and seeing different ways that my body can bend and feel. I feel like stretching is something that people always shy away from, but I know that we all have an inner bendy goddess within us.
Hi there, I’m Fox! Being an artist professionally, I relish and promote creative expressions. This background in exploration and creation leads me to dance in 2019. Just before the world took pause I found a new canvas for expression - the pole. What began as a fun adventure blossomed into a love for the art form, a deep respect for the history, the strength it generates and profound appreciation for the confidence it instills.
My mission in teaching is to bring more into this journey so that you too can explore this beautiful, fun and sensual art form. I will provide to students of all backgrounds, abilities and sizes their own canvas and a path to explore this space, create memories, build confidence and cherish their own uniqueness without the fear of judgment. I look forward to meeting you in the classroom!
My name is Arica but my dance/pole name is Trouble! I started my pole journey in March of 2021. In the same year I decided to perform in my very first showcase. While getting ideas for my performance, I saw a lot of moves that I wanted to include in my piece but I didn’t see a lot of bodies that look like mine executing those moves. Out of that frustration I decided to become the representation that I wanted to see. All bodies are pole bodies and move beautifully. But when mine moves…it’s Trouble!
With a heavy background in athletics, I wanted to find different ways to move my body that was challenging yet enjoyable. Pole has always been an interest/must try for me. Since I started in January of 2022, I haven’t been able to stop. It quickly became a part of my workout regimen. I love being able to turn my strength into beautiful and empowering movements. Pole has not only become my escape but has increased my confidence outside of the studio.
Hey Everyone! My name is Tiffany. I've been poling since 2014 and instructing since 2016. Dancing is my escape and my safe space to express vulnerable emotions and feelings. That turned into one of our top priorities while building PBA, creating a safe space for people to truly be themselves and be vulnerable while create their art. My name is Olivia Carper, I live in Huntersville NC with my partner and our three children. I grew up in Western NC and have had a passion for dance my whole life and took dance classes as a child. As an adult, I felt I was too heavy to ever dance again until I found pole fitness. I wanted to start a pole studio because pole has changed my life! It has given me a community that accepted me for me and has pushed me in ways I never thought possible. At my highest weight I was over 300 pounds, when I found pole fitness I was down to 230 pounds. I took a pole class with a friend and was hooked! It helped me reach my goal weight and brought me so much joy in the process! I never dreamed that being over 40 I would be in the best physical and mental shape of my life. Pole has changed me from the inside out and I want to share that change and make it a reality for others because pole is for EVERYONE and EVERY BODY type. My goal is to have a studio that meets everyone where they are in their fitness journey and to offer a judgement free space for you to dance away your stress and reach your fitness goals.
